Epoch: A period of time in history or a person’s life, typically one marked by notable events or particular characteristics.
Music has always been with me throughout my biggest, best and worst moments in life. Whether it be driving to the store or getting a new job, music is something that is woven into the fabric of everyday life so much that most people probably don’t even recognize the importance and impact that is has on them. I imagine that if you truly stopped and thought about a moment in time that impacted you then you could apply a song to that event.
The life of Epoch Vinyl first began on two different blogs of mine. As a graphic designer and photographer, I have always loved the artwork that has come with music, whether it be CDs, cassettes or vinyl and I eventually started discussing it online in-between my ramblings on art and pop culture. After I got deeper into the vinyl collecting game, I pushed myself to do one review a week and the “Vinyl Wednesday” posting was born. I kept digging further and further into this world and I finally felt that a dedicated blog to these vinyl reviews and news could be of some use and here we are.
